2024
On December 12th, the group hosted a Christmas lunch at the Kerryman and had great group of 22 Irish, Belles and all ages attend.
Our book club met on December 12th for the final meeting of 2024. This month’s book was "In a Holidaze" by Christina Lauren.

A few of our SMC Chicago East Club board members had a board outing to the Lincoln Park Zoo Lights on December 2nd.
Our book club met on November 20th to discuss this month's book, The Rose Code by Kate Quinn and for a “booksgiving” potluck.
On November 7th, we hosted our annual holiday happy hour and final exam care package event with 14 Belles at Butch McGuire’s.
We had a great group of 30 Belles gather for Mass at St. Clement & brunch at Galway Arms to celebrate Founders’ Day.
The monthly Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s College Senior Alumni lunch was at The Banging Gavel in Tinley Park.
Our book club met on October 16th to discuss this month's book, How to Solve Your Own Murder by Kristen Perrin.
On October 17th, we welcomed President Katie Conboy for a Chicago Presidential Visit. It was wonderful to see so many Saint Mary’s alumnae!
In October, we partnered with the ND Club of Chicago to make dinner at Lincoln Park Community Services for 50 residents.
Our book club met on September 11th to discuss this month's book, The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.
This summer, we had a virtual service project to “clear the list” for 12 Belles who are teachers in Chicago, South Bend and Michigan.
The Saint Mary’s Chicago East book club met on August 14th to discuss our “classic novel” pick, Persuasion by Jane Austen.
On August 8th, we hosted a first year send off and welcomed six Chicago-area Belles (class of 2028!) into the Saint Mary’s community.
The monthly Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s College Senior Alumni lunch was at The Kerryman Irish Bar in July.
On July 23rd, over 330 alumni, family, and friends attended a pregame at Moe’s Cantina and Notre Dame Night at the Cubs.
On July 19th, we had a great group of nine alumni attend an evening at Ravinia to listen to the CSO perform the music of Paul Simon.
For our July Dinner Belles outing, we went to Summer House Santa Monica We had a great group and enjoyed their signature guacamole.
The Saint Mary’s Chicago East book club met on July 11th to discuss our beach read Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez.
In June, we partnered with the ND Club of Chicago to make dinner at Lincoln Park Community Services for 40 residents.
For our June Dinner Belles outing, we went to Piccolo Sogno in West Loop. We had a great group and enjoyed burrata, pizza and pasta.
The Saint Mary’s Chicago East book club met on June 12th to discuss The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie.
For our May Dinner Belles outing, we went to Cocina Tarascas. We had a great group and enjoyed some chips, salsa, margs and more.
The book club met on May 16th to discuss the book The Heaven and Earth Book Store by James McBride.
We had a fantastic group of 42 Belles gather at Chief O’Neill’s and raised over $3,400 for the SMC Chicago East Endowed Scholarship!
The Notre Dame Club of Chicago and Saint Mary’s Chicago East Alumnae Club hosted a joint happy hour at Declan’s Irish Pub.
The book club met on April 24th to discuss the book The Girl with Seven Names: Escape from North Korea by Hyeonseo Lee.
We had a great happy hour sharing apps and pizza at Parlor Pizza Bar to celebrate Donor Challenge. Thank you to everyone who donated!
The Belles met up at United Center to cheer on the Blackhawks! We had 15 Belles attend and the Blackhawks pulled off a win.

In honor of Women’s History Month, we hosted a supply drive and put together 50 period kits for The Period Collective.
The book club met on February 22nd to discuss the book Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson. We even tried some traditional black cake!
We had 14 Belles attend our Galentine’s Day celebration at City Winery for a fun evening of wine, appetizers and conversation.
The monthly Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s College Senior Alumni lunch was at Emerald Loop for their first gathering of 2024.
We are so excited to start a new monthly dinner club - “Dinner Belles.” Our first gathering was at Alpana for Chicago Restaurant Week.
For our first service event of 2024, we helped sort donations and set up the new El Àrbol Free Store in Logan Square.
The Saint Mary’s Chicago East book club met on January 17th to discuss our first book of the year, The Mitford Affair by Marie Benedict.
