On October 17th, we welcomed President Katie Conboy to Chicago for a Presidential Visit at LM Studio. It was wonderful to see so many Saint Mary’s alumnae and friends come together to share our excitement about the many ways that Saint Mary’s continues to create the leaders our world needs. We learned more about the Avenue Experience, strong enrollment, fundraising successes, and leading national rankings for the College. A few amazing updates from the College:

  • The Class of 2028 is academically strong and diverse! We had 401 new first-year students and a record for recent times of 31 new transfers. Graduate program enrollment grew this year, too.

  • Excellent financial condition, evidenced by:

    • A rating of A- with a stable outlook by S&P Global Ratings. This is an outstanding bond rating for a college of our size and scope.

    • Forbes’ 2024 College Financial grades: A+! Saint Mary’s was one of only 27 institutions (out of about 800) to receive this grade—and we had the 10th highest total score.

  • Equity is woven into all we do! Every student has access to the resources they need to participate in the full Saint Mary’s experience (laptops, winter clothing, football tickets, and graduation expenses).

  • We’re removing barriers to belonging. Textbooks and (soon!) the iconic Saint Mary’s class ring are now included in tuition.

  • We’ve launched a new concierge-style career-prep experience. First-year students will have an individualized advising team from day one through graduation to help them choose their path at Saint Mary’s, both personally and professionally. Starting fall 2024.

  • Our alumnae remain incredibly engaged:

    • 35% of our alumnae are engaged in our professional alumnae network.

    • Attendance at this summer’s Reunion increased by 6%.
