Thank you to everyone who came out to our Founders’ Day Celebration! We had a fantastic group of 30 Belles from all different class years gather at St. Clement Church for mass and then brunch at Galway Arms. It was a beautiful Sunday morning Mass at St. Clement. Afterwards, we walked over together to Galway Arms where we enjoyed a delicious traditional Irish breakfast, mimosas, coffee and more.
We had some amazing silent auction and raffle items created by Belles and ND alumni including jewelry from Mila + Stevie (founded by Kathleen Sabol '08), the book “Humans of Heaven” written by Jana Zuniga '16, Emmie’s Earrings (founded by Emmie Scanlon Siegert ‘15), a signed copy of “The Leprechaun's Game Day at Notre Dame” written by Mike Brown ND ‘01, the book “Doing Time for Peace: Resistance, Family, and Community” written by Rosalie Riegle '59, and French Cross earrings from ADesign & Sons (founded by Anne Hesslau Dondanville, Class of 1982). Additionally, we received custom items from the Saint Mary’s Spark Lab and Christmas ornaments from Irish Woodworks.
The raffle and silent auction were an incredible success raising over $1,000 for the SMC Chicago East Endowed Scholarship! That is the most we have raised during a Founders' Day Celebration in the past seven years! Thank you to all the generous Belles who donated these items and to those who purchased raffle tickets and placed bids!
