On August 6th, Judy Gavoor ‘76, hosted a light supper and send off for the Saint Mary’s Class of 2027 students at her house in Lake Forest. We had a great mix of current students, young alumnae and parents attend the evening.
Dr. Tina Sorenson '13, Lauren Murphy' 14, and Ashley Stopczynski '13 were in the women's choir together at Saint Mary’s, so they started off the evening with an acapella version of the Bells of Saint Mary's. Jan Brengel '78 led us in a prayer and blessing for the first year's.
The current students and alumnae spoke about their SMC stories, gave advice and answered the first year's questions. The parents of the first years had great questions about life after Saint Mary's and were so excited for their daughters to start college in just a few weeks.
It was a great evening, and we are so excited for the newest Belles to begin their Saint Mary’s journey!
