The Saint Mary’s College Chicago East Alumnae Club had a great year of events, happy hours, camaraderie, and giving back.
Thank you to all the Belles who attended game watches, caught up over happy hour, donated to the SMC Chicago East Club Endowed Scholarship, read along with the book club, paid dues and attended our two annual fundraisers, Spring Spirits and Founders’ Day.

For our first event of the year, Belles showed up for a Galentine’s Happy Hour at City Winery for a fun evening of wine and appetizers.

Our Spring Spirits event had over 35 Belles attend and we raised $2000+ for the SMC Chicago East Endowed Scholarship.

The Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Alumnae Club hosted a fantastic send off for the Class of 2027 and alumnae gave advice to the newest Belles.

We partnered with the ND Club of Chicago for a Notre Dame football game watch at Moe’s Cantina and 50+ young alumni attended.

Our Founders’ Day event saw 30 Belles attend mass at St. Clement’s, brunch at Galway Arms and an amazing raffle that raised $1,500.

We had our Holiday Happy Hour at Butch McGuire’s and packed 20 final exam care packages for SMC Chicago-area first years.

Book Club
Our book club read 12 books, had 9 in-person meetings, and we wrapped up the year with a our largest book club meeting ever!

Winter Coat Drive
We hosted a Winter Coat Drive for the Refugee Community Connection and collected over 40 coats to give to those in need.
